Hello, it's January and time for the annual blogging-about-the-cold to begin.
(If you have not already read Cathy-Cate's haiku, go do so now. It's a hoot.)
Now, my turn.
When the temperature outdoors is
and the indoor relative humidity is
and you do this
because the humidifier is not working and you want to get some moisture into the air, and, assuming you happen to walk away from the kitchen to read a few blogs, what happens next?
Certain, er, features become apparent
in an unexpectedly beautiful way.
Very pretty.
I am cold for you after reading that. Yeesh!

Man! The air here is dry but I think if I boiled water we'd all have heat stroke. (I have the doors open, too.)

That's beautiful. Every once in awhile there will be just the right kind of fog here and it does that to all the spiderwebs all over and I can't stop taking pictures of them, they are so gorgeous.
Brrr, -23. Nature is actively trying to kill you, isn't she?

And here I've been whining because the house is 62. Guess I need to stop bellyaching.

Pretty!
But 54 in the house?! Brrrrrrr!!!

I hope that's a spiderweb and not the window cracking.
Incidentally, that is officially hella cold. -22?? We barely ever hit +22.

Yep. Sure is cold out.

These people don't know what cold is do they??

I have the wind chill, but the indoor humidity here is ridiculous!!! I have something of a "ventilation situation" and am often way above where the doc says I should be given my lungs.
That said...I am not living with temperatures at minus twenty-two so I'm not going to complain...

Very cool!

That very pretty. What a wonderful excuse to not...er....deal with those features.

Now I've never thought of doing that! We do put pots on the woodstove... we're up to 23%

Oh how lovely....
Thanks for sharing it!

Very cool. 54 in the house? Brrr!

Wow, -22. If it got that cold here, the weather bunnies would be in an uproar. And so would I.

Well I can certainly relate to all of that.
Thanks for helping us find beautiful features in unexpected places!

What makes me laugh about the haiku and the accompanying picture considers -22 "Fair."
