I know he lived a good, long life and that he couldn't have had much in the way of regrets or missed opportunities. But it's still such a huge loss. He WAS the news when I was growing up! It's weird to think we live in a world without a Walter Cronkite.
I'm also thinking that "exaggerated" was something of an overstatement on the part of the assistant.
