I forgot about this until I clicked on Carole's post in Google Reader. Mea culpa!
Things I am thankful for today:
- The county board approved the 2010 county budget with minutes to spare at Tuesday night's meeting. By statute we had to do so by midnight; the first vote to approve the budget, as it had been tweaked and amended during the meeting, was at around 10:30 p.m. Budget failed, 10-13. A short break, more pontificating, one board member stood up and said "UNCLE!" (srsly!) and the budget passed. Whew.
- No sign of any flu in our house, neither seasonal nor piggy. ::knocks on wood::
- Our Christmas shopping was largely completed on Monday, online. Whew redux.
SO. JEALOUS. of your Christmas shopping done.

Christmas shopping? Done?
You shame all of those who think they're at all "together."
The "Uncle" crack is hilarious.
Oh, and my hubs graduated college in 1993 and then was an intern at Wolf Ridge the year after that...and then was hired as permanent administrative teaching staff in 1996, so he would have missed your boy visiting WR!

"Uncle." I think it's a business term, isn't it??? At first, I was a teeny bit jealous of your shopping being done. But, now, I'm just inspired. I want to Be Done, too, dangit!

Our budget hearing was this week, and I'm so glad I'm not on the board. They continue today. Good for you. And loved the info on bamboo. Wool it is.
