Cheers is Thai, which I sort of guessed from the script in the first commercial and which Google confirmed. Minneapolis has a very large southeast Asian community, and a lot of public documents and government signs are multi-lingual.

I have felt just like the guys in the 2nd commercial. . . when I was forced to do mall Christmas shopping last year. . . when I encountered a RARE parking spot unexpectedly. I guess I needed a Cheers! :-)

I like the wind-blown, slow-motion moments...that's how I feel when I really want a beer and am about to crack it and suck it down.
