Goodness.

Yes. There was more confusion over whether or not it was an earthquake, (and what would be the appropriate course of action) than chaos caused by the actual earthquake.

But that's not a bad thing

I heard there were a lot of jokes between East and West coast folks - like photos of tipped over yogurt cups with the caption, "We will rebuild!"

Glad the Boy is safe and well.

My SIL wrote it up for her paper in SW PA. It's too funny that everyone has the same reaction. A flat tire. A truck slamming into the building. A terrorist attack. Ohhhhh. Only an earthquake. :)

It was like the opening act for the hurricane. Mother Nature just wanted to see if we were on our toes along the eastern seaboard! Actually, I barely noticed it up this way. Just the recliner rocking independently and even that might not have been the actual quake. Could've been a gi-normous jumping kitty, a much more fearsome thing!

Teena in Toronto

We had a bit of a tremor here too.

I thought the newspaper headline was pretty low-key, as well! Knock cement that your lad will continue to be safe, wherever he is, always.
