I like the fact that the cats have been on the job for over 200 years. And so much more cuddly than a bowl of rat poison...

I was at a botanical garden out in Norfolk that used cats to control unwanted populations of animals. You'd see them around and if you looked closely you could see water and food dishes hidden around the area. They also had cat houses for them when they got caught in the rain. Some you could actually pet. Others just scampered away or stayed out of reach. It was really cool.
