A new internet toy: TiltShiftMaker. You upload a photo, tweak it at their site, and presto! your subject looks like you took a picture of a miniature.
Let's look at an example. Here's one of my photos after TSM and I got done with it:

I found that best results are achieved when the part I wanted to look like a model was confined to a horizontal band somewhere in the photo. Then the rest of the photo can be blurred while keeping that horizontal zone crisp.
