Had a follow-up appointment this morning for the infection in my knee. All is well, infection seems gone, surgery still on for the 28th. The bursitis/fluid buildup is also going away so I probably will not have to have it drained.
Once again I thanked my lucky stars that I get to live where I do. As my car climbed up from the St. Croix river valley on the way to the clinic in Wyoming, Minnesota, I saw this.
What? You are not impressed with my photos?
Understandable. I was not actually able to get a photo of what I saw, which was a veritable flock of bald eagles -- at least 20, too many to count safely, let alone photograph, while I drove -- circling overhead. They frequently hang around over a particular quarter-mile of highway. Don't know why exactly, but they love it there. There was no way to take a picture when I saw the flock, so I took these on my way back home a couple hours later. Still a few singletons circling, but no flock.
