What a timely topic! We are leaving later today in the mini-mini-motorhome for a few days on the North Shore. Hmmm, what will I miss?
Ten Things I Miss About My Own House When I Go Away
- Hannibal the Fluffball of Doom.
- En Esch The Fluffball Of Stoopid.
- The bathroom that is only a few steps from my bed.
- That's it.
At one time this list would have had recliner, espresso maker, computer and internet access, adjustable bed, and probably some other things. But over the years we have accumulated camping-suitable substitutes -- a zero gravity chair, a stovetop espresso maker, my iPad plus libraries and coffee shops with free wifi, 4" memory foam pads on top of the camper bed mattress.
No substitutes for the cats, though, and now that my hip is fixed I won't mind walking uphill (both ways) to the outhouse at the campground.
